Mr Hitchen’s question:”Why are the Police investigating the misdeeds of a corpse?” is indeed a pertinent one. My answer is this: it is now obvious in which societal circles Savile moved, and they housed many VIPs. The investigation will allow Police to interview all those who have complained about Savile’s behaviour; interviews which will be obviously extensive. Any evidence or proof of offences committed by Savile’s friends (in high places) garnered via these interviews will then be conveniently buried. To see how they work go to ‘OBU INVESTIGATORS.
