Everybody tries to make a difference in our ‘interesting’ times, everybody as best as they can, given their circumstances and familiarity with communication media. Over the last two days I received distinctly ‘interesting’ information:
- about an Open Letter to David Cameron MP and George Osborne MP about ‘our country’s ‘debt’ and the solution - the ‘obvious’ precedent: ‘Bradburys‘ or Public Credit or ‘overt monetary financing‘, as Lord Turner called it
- about a remarkable Film Festival in London in March: Human Rights Watch
- about the fact that Public Reading is a new Parliamentary feature – on the occasion of the Children and Families Bill
- the scary Justice and Security Bill which originated in the House of Lords. Having reached ‘Report Stage’, it appears that the only input we can have is by contacting the 19 members in the Committee that will produce the report
- Lunch and Dinner with Julian Assange:
“Apparent power thrives on secrets. The world of men is structured force.”

Previously:- http://www.guardian.co.uk/law/2013/jan/28/andrew-tyrie-secret-courts-bill Tory MP Andrew Tyrie attacks secret courts bill Backbencher warns that government is in danger of ‘closing down access to the truth’. More
