DUNCAN CAMPBELL points at ‘secrecy’ at the Open Rights Conference, while ‘contempt jailings should never be secret’

Campbell Live

I had not expected to hear Duncan Campbell live, when I signed up to attend the third Open Rights Conference. Was I glad I went!

I described my experience fairly detailed on this blog post.

Here it is important that I spoke to him in person, after we had exchanged a few emails. For he had played a major role in Operation Ore – the paedophile investigation starting in 1999, after the Cleveland child abuse Scandal in 1987.

What is even more important is that his TV Series “Secret Society” in 1987 was like a ‘deja vu’ of what has just been announced: NSA Prism surveillance downplayed by UK Government.

Obviously, the secret internet and phone surveillance that NSA and Prism stand for, is a different kind of abuse than the Secrecy of Family Courts. But the marvellous comments illustrate the deep unhappiness and suspicion over what leads to foster ‘care’ and forced adoptions, after children have been snatched, rather than after establishing evidence for taking into ‘care’!

Hence, we lodged EU Parliament: Abolish Forced Adoptions without Parental Consent and are compiling a dossier of online evidence. Please sign / comment / share / promote, if you haven’t done so already.

Meanwhile, we wonder why institutions have such a hard time being open and transparent…

However, the Law Gazette publishes here that Contempt jailings should never be secret, leading judges warn. Well, well, why has it taken the blogosphere to be born and THAT long to curb this invitation for abuse of power???

Once upon a time, we used to write letters to each other. Now we tweet. Or at least some of us who love our computers. And Twitter is being taken seriously by mainstream media and official organisations, mainly for ‘risk management’, especially since the plane landing on the Hudson River had been helped so substantially by people tweeting.

Hashtags categorise ‘tweets':

AUSTERITY CUTS, lack of Compensation for Victims and more than 5,000 uncomfortable truths in Australia

13 04 03 Uncomfortable truthsThe Slog is a very influential political blog that embraces paedophilia as well as financial issues.

The Paedofile Special: The Fat Kitten at the CICA on £95,000 a year who keeps sex abuse victims waiting for their compensation is the latest article which for me raises a few points of principle:

As far as paedophilia and child sexual abuse are concerned:

the bad news:

  • institutional perpetrators have clearly no desire / ability to accept response-ability for either the emotional trauma or the financial consequences;

  • institutionalised child snatching goes on unchallenged, while children and parents suffer and even get criminalised and imprisoned, for the secrecy of family courts ensures that nobody knows what’s going on until people are hit themselves and have very little chances of getting their children back;
  • whistleblower Brian Pead who has been exposing Lambeth Council was sentenced to 28 days of prison for ‘contempt of court’…

the good news:

SORRY for ‘shameful’ forced adoptions and MONEY for records tracing and mental health care

A sigh of relief seemed to have gone across the UK today – thanks to this announcement by the Australian PM:

Prime Minister Julia Gillard has issued an apology to people affected by Australia’s forced adoption policy between the 1950s and 1970s.

Tens of thousands of babies of unmarried, mostly teenage mothers, were thought to have been taken by the state and given to childless married couples.

Many women said they were coerced into signing away their children.

… practices that were unethical, dishonest and in many cases illegal.

The report was based on submissions by hundreds of women.

Here, we are publishing

In its way of reporting the good news, the excellent blog Researching Reform points out that Australia has always been something of a leading light! More

FIRST SLOVAKIA, then France and Belgium on TV: outrage at the Kingdom’s “lost children” as ‘scandalous injustice’

It’s up to grandmothers to right the wrong-doings of younger people who are ‘just doing their job’. In the case of the two Slovak boys who were supposed to be adopted, she organised demos outside the UK Embassy in Bratislava which TV and press took up in Slovakia.

In France, CanalPlus showed a special documentary: England: the Kingdom of the Lost Children illustrating the plight of a number of families.

Now, Belgium TV has aired the story thanks to Nigel Cooper who is a Belgian resident since he came to work there as a NATO Security Specialist. However, he has since been banned from the UK as he explains in this video. His story was on Belgian news in June 2012, starting at 21:15 of this video. The program points out:

  • the secrecy surrounding family courts including the ban of media reporting
  • the claim that the father consented to what he calls abduction
  • John Hemming MP NOT having confidence in the judgements of Social Services: “they make a lot of mistakes.”

Reproducing footage of the French film, these Belgian videos are in support of his daughter – which is of course representative of many, many other ‘cases': aired on 12th March 2013

Broadcast on 15th March 2013 but not visible in the UKMore

THE DEATH OF JUSTICE for our Children is a head-hanging disgrace of which every Briton should be profoundly ashamed

The subject line is taken from PAEDOPHILIA: How one piece of news can kill a novel – one of the many posts highlighting and analysing paedophilia in the UK.

The author John Ward has studied the subject for some six years. He knows better than I do.

But we put our understanding of institutionalised child snatching into this letter to the Attorney General’s Office.

However, the death of justice does not only apply to our children. Fathers, mothers and business men have long been affected by it. Even veterans don’t get it: Norman Scarth fled to Ireland and War Veteran says more than you ever wanted to know!

THE PAEDOPHILES FRIEND? A most extra-ordinary 22-page Open Letter to David Cameron MP

13 03 03 Savile Heath This letter by Michael H. Murrin, entitled “A Paedophiles Friend?”, is a labour of love and passion.

It is based on the possession of the membership list of the Paedophile Information Exchange from a reliable and proven source. The result are two online petitions:

and 22 pages of care-ful research, choice of images, links, media references and care-ful formatting to follow up a previous letter around these 4 requests:

  1. The Paedophile Information Exchange and its founders were finally subject to criminal prosecution during the mid 1980’s, however the full extent of its influence has never been properly, openly, examined. I now ask you to authorise the release of ALL archived records concerning the police investigation of, and subsequent prosecution of, P.I.E. This to include a complete transcript of the court case, the publication of the membership list and publication of the mailing list. I also request that you authorise the release into the public domain of any memoranda and/or other communications related to P.I.E, between the Metropolitan Police, the Home Office and 10 Downing Street during the time of the police investigation into P.I.E.
  2. At this point I make my second request to you; I ask that you intervene to release Colin Smart from the legal injunctions inflicted upon him by Sunderland City Council. In effect I am asking you to restore to Mr. Smart his liberty and his right to freedom of speech. More
