I Struggle to Find anyone – on the Prosecution side – who is credible re Police Corruption

This video about Ian Puddick’s case with Chris Plumley, Channel 4 Dispatches Correspondent, is a neat and clean example of what lots and lots of victims have suffered from:

  • the Rule of Money over the Rule of Law
  • abuse of power and perversion of justice
  • police harassment due to police corruption
  • the takeover of control by an American ‘security company’.

No wonder Maurice J Kirk who has been harassed and bullied by South Wales Police for twenty years has a hard time standing up to them, especially when they keep him in prison without clear charges and under the most ridiculous conditions.

And no wonder, Caul Grant has been demonstrating with his Campaign for Truth and Justice for a week ready to stay on for another week.

Judiciary Guilty of Criminal Acts… especially in family courts

“Judiciary Guilty of Criminal Acts…” is the slogan for the 2-week demo outside the Royal Courts of Justice, starting Monday 23rd April, from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Please come round for net-working with likeminded spirits!

… especially in secret family courts which should be replaced by open criminal courts

… in bankruptcy and insolvency procedures where we placed the worst known cases before the relevant Ministers – without any redress or change, let alone ‘remedy’ a la Article 13 of the European Convention of Human Rights

… when covering up crimes by colleagues in the NHS, Inland Revenue, Police and other public ‘authorities’.

when turning innocent victims into political prisoners:

  • the Musas for daring to stand up to Haringey Council
  • Maurice J Kirk BVSc for daring to challenge South Wales Police
  • other women whose children were taken and whom I visit in HMP Holloway – trying to get the privileges of LEGAL visits for McKenzie Friends, i.e. the right to take papers in and out – for prisoners who are on remand and who don’t have legal representation.

Meanwhile, even Reuters is wondering: Is Britain more corrupt than it thinks?

Please support this Man. For you or yours could be next!

  • This complaint form to HMP Cardiff is one way in which Maurice J Kirk, a veterinary surgeon and pilot, expresses what he has been experiencing since he was arrested on September 21st and imprisoned.

Six weeks later, he still has not been told in writing what he is in prison for and when his release date might be.

Hence he is on hunger strike and gives his latest reasons here. I am on hunger strike because

  1. Court and Prison continue to refuse to disclose written record of WHY I am in prison and with which release date.
  2. Crown Court have denied me my right for a fair bail application because CPS refuse to put in writing what I was sent to prison for, my release date and why Police oppose bail when CPS did not on 23rd September. It was the District Judge who decided I be detained for political reasons only.
  3. I am not getting proper medical treatment promised.
  4. As a prisoner I am continuing to be denied by basic human rights on the prison’s excuse that I am the only prisoner not represented on the wing by a lawyer, i.e. LIP (Litigant in Person) blackmail.

Besides attending Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 10th at 10am and signing this petition suggestions for supporting Maurice are here.

When I met Maurice, I was going to get him into the Guiness Book of Records – mainly for his number of successful court cases, but there were many other priorities. Now I know better than ever:

That’s why family courts operate in secrecy to justify the snatching of children by Social Services…

Are there human rights for Prisoners in the UK???

Thanks to Norman Scarth‘s astute mind and live experience with prisons, we learned about three cases where prisoners succeeded in getting access to the “facilities” required to prepare their defence: computers, law books, etc.

But Maurice is being hit with one refusal after another.  Hence I wrote this letter:

Mr Richard Booty
Governor
HMP Cardiff
Knox Road
CF24 0UG

Dear Governor Booty

Re Mr Maurice J Kirk BVSc A7306 AT

This is to alert you to case law that allows prisoners access to computers, law books and the facilities needed to prepare their defence in court proceedings. I enclose just one hard copy. References to three cases are on the article Who Governs HMP Governors? Who Ensures Human Rights for Prisoners?[1]

Jeremy Bentham[2] knew already in the 19th century that Publicity is the very soul of justice[3]. In the absence of fairness and justice, I’d like to make you aware of the public support for Mr Kirk’s quests for fairness and justice:

I understand you have received other evidence for public support, for it is hardly acceptable that medical attention is not provided adaequately nor access to communication and the facilities needed for court cases.

I trust that I can appeal to your conscience, for that’s all that remains with us every night and at the end of our lives.

Yours sincerely,

Police State in Action: Norman Scarth lured out of ‘sheltered’ flat to be arrested!!!

After midnight I got this call from poor Norman, terrorised over what had happened to him after 14 hours of torment and torture – never knowing what might happen:

  1. at 10am in the morning, a young lady asks him to help her and her granny next door who was just moving in
  2. he dresses casually to be helpful -
  3. only to be welcomed by FIVE police officers telling him that he is arrested.

The empty flat must have been offered by the management company “InCommunities Ltd” to the police!

Taken 14 miles away to Leeds, he spent a whole day in a cell on a hard bench when, really, his spinal condition requires change of position and a special bed.

Eventually, a solicitor came, but he was only released close to midnight. Two ridiculous charges and he is supposed to appear before the court on November 17th.

Released on bail, under all sorts of conditions, and he could return – on his own – to be home after midnight.

Meanwhile, his computer was seized with his appeal papers and his mobile. Thus he has no phone numbers!

PLEASE ring him on 0127 454 1213!

It’s called a ‘honeytrap’, he thinks…

And his niece Tracy was arrested and released, too! Of course, computers and phones are the ‘externalised brains’. So “they” take them and have your contacts!

Haringey Council asked for names of witnesses, only to criminalise them and punish them without crime!

Norman writes about the Haringey crime:

If only one tenth of the story is true there is something seriously wrong with the behaviour of those with power.  Never was the saying “All power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely” more conclusively proved.
If such cases are ever to be resolved it is vital that the pretence that the secrecy is to ‘protect the children’ must be shown for the sham which it is, & that Family Courts be at least as open as other hearings – which isn’t saying much in Britain.

Senior Police Officer compared ‘money grabbing’ defence lawyers to robbers

This article in the Daily Mail will be accompanied by lots of sighs of confirmation, I suspect.

I just wonder what makes the police officer say that “court have become so obsessive in their desiter to ensure a defendant has a fair trial”…

The absence of any trial and the lack of fair trials is what Maurice J Kirk BVSc has experienced amply. Now in HMP Cardiff without being given any reason and without his prescribed medication, he suffers, once again, from the extreme bullying and harassment by South Wales Police. More here.

Letters from HMP Cardiff: I am far too ill to attend court and bed bound with unattended gut pain

It has taken Maurice J Kirk BVSc 10 days to be able to write out, after he was transferred from Tottenham Police to HMP Cardiff.  In London he was arrested for not attending Cardiff Police Station, while on bail. In Cardiff they changed it into “harassing Dr Tegwyn Williams” the person who claimed 2 years ago that he had “serious brain damage”, possibly “brain tumour” and who still is withholding his records that prevented his hip operation and now his civil action against South Wales Police.

Please telephone HMP Cardiff on 02920 923 100 and ask for the medical officer.

Or write to Prisoner No A7306AT HMP Cardiff, Knox Road, South Glamorgan CF24

For trying to help the Nigerian Musa parents get their six children back from the clutches of Haringey Council has turned into

  • serious unattended gut pain
  • ulcer problems requiring an endoscopy
  • real fears of being sectioned based on Dr Tegwyn Williams’ psycho-reports of two years ago, as Haringey Police cover up the Musa child snatching case and South Wales Police continue to harass Maurice.

Maurice on Bail while the Musas have been arrested for conspiring to abduct their own children

As Maurice writes on his own blog: Enid Blyton could not have made it up:

  1. Maurice gets himself arrested – quite consciously – as he wanted to tell the local Magistrates what is going on in Haringey Council. He was charged with “criminal damage”, for he had smashed the window of a door, behind which he had been held unlawfully since Saturday night.
  2. The Duty Solicitor in Haringey Court told me yesterday that Maurice was right with his claim.
  3. However, during the hearing, the CPS seemed to have a field day by going into “previous convictions” and “old medical reports”. In fact, three level 12 forensic psychiatrists produced a statement about him based only on data stored on him re South Wales Police. He refused to engage in conversation aka “autism”. To think that such psychiatrists can send you to high security prisons such as Broadmoor for life is seriously frightening.
  4. When the Court wanted to grant bail, the CPS duly asked to appeal within two hours, but didn’t.
  5. Hence Maurice was set free, with a next trial date set for 14th November.

Famous by draconian sentence and imprisonment conditions: Norman Scarth enters the blogosphere

Norman ScarthWhat is the difference between the mainstream media and the blogosphere? In one you’re paid to do your job, in the other you’re fuelled by passion, curiosity and the pleasure of expressing your own thoughts and feelings. As a consequence, different stories are being considered worth writing about!

Similarly, it is fascinating to watch how the same facts can be written about with different levels of literary acumen. I do pray that Norman will live to read how he is becoming famous by his infamous behaviour of switching an audio recorder ON rather than OFF – as the crime considered worthy of punishing him with six months in solitary confinement and under draconian prison conditions.

Here, the cyber-reincarnation of Archbishop Thomas Cranmer writes:

And the remarkable Anna Raccoon who takes a jaundiced view of the main stream media, compares Norman with Charlie Gilmour only because he’s also in prison:

A less literary story is told by fellow starfighter Maurice Kirk with lots of photos on

And I used the blog I produced for Maurice to invite readers to the demo organised for Norman Scarth:

Appealing on behalf of WWII Veteran Norman Scarth – a passionate plea and accusation from Canada + demo details for Saturday

Here’s what Jean from Canada wrote to all members of the House of Commons and Lords, as well as media contacts:

Dear Sirs:

PRISONER NUMBER A1903CF  D WING 240

NORMAN SCARTH, LEEDS PRISON, UK

Norman Scarth, nearly 86 years old and a World War II navy and arctic convoy veteran, badly needs help to save him from the torture and abuse inflicted upon him by the British government in Her Majesty’s prison, Leeds. As you will see from Norman’s open letter, there is British corruption, not only in politics, media, and police, but in the prison service. Judge Jonathon Rose, at the very least, lacks good judgement and compassion, and the National Health Service (NHS) have failed in their duty of care;  they are not providing Norman with basic medical care, which is wilful negligence because a phone call was made to Clare Shepherd, head of NHS PALS Leeds on Sunday, July 30, 2011, and she assured me that she would attend to his medical needs. As you will see below, Ann Lavery from the same unit was also approached and refused to take any action, despite the fact that Norman has lodged a complaint from inside the prison, which he has a right to do, but he is being ignored. Norman is being denied, not only his medical care, but also his paperwork is being blocked and complaints ignored.

David Cameron will have his hands full in September, and I am sure that Her Majesty will be outraged that a navy veteran should be denied basic care, particularly with the Royal connections to the navy. He is in solitary confinement in a prison for serious offenders.

His crime? Making a video recording of a court hearing. Sentence? Six months, and it would appear to be solitary confinement for six months. How many six months periods does he have left in his life, he is asking…

This is in the public interest worldwide.

Attorney General, Dominic Grieve, was advised last week, and numerous other ministers and members of parliament were also advised about Norman’s case, along with members of government’s supposed Joint Committee for Human Rights, but the British government is notorious for ignoring their accountability and setting up quisling quangos and, as usual, there has been no response

Here are the people in government who were advised a week ago:

The Director-General of the National Offender Management Service, Michael Spurr, was also advised, along with UN Human Rights, and Leeds Prison Governor and assistant, Rob Kellett and Dave Parsons,  and the Prisons and Probations Ombudsman:

Not one responded except for the latter:

Subject: RE: COMPLAINT – ABUSE OF NORMAN SCARTH – LEEDS PRISON

Dear Ms James

Thank you for email about the treatment of Mr Scarth at HMP Leeds.  I am sorry to hear of your concerns.

The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman can only consider complaints from prisoners’ themselves about their treatment whilst in the Prison Service.  His complaint about not receiving medication is not covered by our terms of reference.  If Mr Scarth is not satisfied about the lack of medication then he will need to complain to the Health Service Ombudsman.

With regards to the condition of the cell, if Mr Scarth is not satisfied about this then he needs to complete the internal complaints procedure before the Ombudsman can intervene.

I am sorry that I cannot be of more assistance.

Yours sincerely

Emma Marshall

Assessment Team

Norman HAS filed a complaint. Everyone is ignoring it.

The only member of parliament to have show any concern, as usual, is the Rt. Hon. and honest  John Hemming, MP.

You will see that the email list includes human rights groups, which we know to be merely shop fronts used for political purposes. There are no human rights in the UK for anyone who is victimized by the criminal fraternity.

British prisons are full, and 20,000 of the prisoners are veterans, who are being denied counselling and psychiatric healthcare needs, the British government preferring to funnel money into prisons rather than veteran healthcare, and now they imprison this little old man and abuse him simply for turning on his video recording equipment. He is a retired stud farmer, and decorated war hero and this is a national disgrace. If anyone knows anything at all about horses, you will know that you have to be gentle with them. Norman is a gentle man and a gentleman.

Please help. I write from Canada. Norman is loved around the world. He devotes his life to helping others 24/7. Will you cover the story please?

The attachments have been transcribed from Norman’s handwriting. Originals are available on request, but so many attachments made this email to large to send. He can barely write because his muscles are cramping due to the fact that he has been denied the medication that he needs, so it would have been difficult for you to read the originals.

These are serious human rights issues, and it is an absolute western society disgrace.

This was the response received from PALS (NHS) when friends advised them that Norman was being denied medication, warmth, and exercise.

FREE NORMAN SCARTH DEMONSTRATION

ALL HANDS ON DECK REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE RELEASE OF WWII NAVY VETERAN, AND POLITICAL PRISONER, NORMAN SCARTH

There will be peaceful and lawful demonstration and rally in support of decorated World War II veteran, 85 year old Norman Scarth. Norman was imprisoned for six months on July 25th 2011 for making a recording of a court hearing. Norman’s barrister apologised on Norman’s behalf when Norman returned to court, but he was sentenced to an excessive six months in a prison for serious offenders, regardless. Since then, he was only allowed one phone call, and is being denied all visitors; his conditions could be described as torturous as he been denied exercise.

He has been told that either he walks for a full hour or not at all. He is unable to walk for a full hour – he is an 85 year old man with health problems. He is cold at night and sleeps in his clothing.

We feel the sentence is excessive, cruel, and inhumane for an 86 year old man with health problems, who has been fighting for our freedom, not only during World War II, when his heroic acts helped keep Britain free, but on a regular daily basis for many, many years, with his efforts to bring truth, justice, and transparency into the UK Courts and legal system and to highlight the corruption. It is a serious human rights issue.

Leeds Prison is a prison for serious offenders. Whereas, once, the demographics of this prison were predominantly that of serious offenders in their 30s, the population is now dominated by senior citizens. Who is sending them there?

Norman has been fighting for our freedom and now we have to fight for his! It is imperative that there is a massive turn out.
