There is a new cat on the block: Eddie The Cat7 – a YouTube channel with currently 33 videos – devoted to the sharp and astute analysis of mis- and dis-information by the mainstream media as well as ‘amateur shills’ and mis-informers.
The channel covers a wide range of subjects and one of the videos compares the popularity of ‘conspiracy’ or ‘truth’-videos with those of mainstream media:

As the obvious existence of long-standing systemic child sex abuse comes increasingly to light, more and more long-serving politicians are beginning to feel queasy. The fairly reliable word out there on the streets now is that two former Tory ministers, seven other MPs and various social luminaries from the late 1970s and early 1980s were regular visitors at the Barnes ‘venue’ featured above…….the boys all having been recruited from a nearby care home.
The ‘dead Liberal MP’ one would presume to have been Rochdale’s finest and fattest, but other names (I hear) are surprising: the span goes all the way from the BNP to the IRA, and from Buckingham Palace to the left wing of the Labour Party. As I said last month, the Establishment’s main problem here is that they genuinely don’t know how far this scandal will go before it’s burnt out: they cover up to protect what they fear, not necessarily to protect their own guilt.

If you have come across Marshall McLuhan, you will have come across his statement The Medium is the Message. What he meant was that the form of the medium ‘embeds’ itself in the message.
What is the the key difference between Mainstream Media (MSM) and Social Media (SM)? The fact that the MSM are controlled by their owners, shareholders and editors, i.e. employees are ‘professionals’ who have to ‘follow the rules’ or else they lose their job and pension.
Social media are shaped by ‘amateurs’ who are driven by passion and their desire to express their ideas, beliefs and the information they have come across. Money and ‘career’ do not play the essential role. Everybody can become their own journalist and broadcaster. We don’t need the MSM any more to get heard! We can listen to each other!
Having organised the Forum for Stable Currencies since 1998 at the House of Lords, I was acutely aware of the mainstream media shying away from these ‘complex’ issues. Hence I decided to ‘move online’, hoping to make more of a difference. For what is there to do:

Child ‘protection’ or ‘snatching‘ is not a single issue campaign, nor is it a national phenomenon. But most ‘activism’ is based on the suffering of personal experience.
Nick Clegg said in Parliament that victims of abuse should speak out and that perpetrators would be brought to justice. Will he listen to parents who lost their children to Social Services as procurers for paedophiles, too?

As long as we can’t either win individual cases or make progress in terms of changing “the system”, I can hardly feel pleased. However, I follow the following guidelines:

So people make their own demands on Facebook, YouTube and WordPress. When will it be enough, I wonder???
