The courts are open but justice is a closed book

This is an article by Heather Brooke that appeared in THE TIMES on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.

It comes to the conclusion that most victims have experienced for themselves: “We have a justice system paid for by the common people but whose proceedings are available only to the rich, powerful or privileged. Let’s not pretend that this is justice for all.”

Heather was instrumental in breaking the scandal of MP’s expenses and is author of the book The Silent State.
