    the law should be the same for VIPs as for everyone else! I don’t see why criminals of any background should be “protected”

    I have now received this reply from the local MP for Cambridge, Julian Huppert (presently the candidate owing to the pending General Election). I don’t necessarily agree with all he says, does, and stands for, but at least he tries.

    Dear Tad,

    Thank you for writing to me about this.

    I absolutely agree that we need to get to the bottom of what happened. We questioned Justice Goddard at the Home Affairs Select Committee and it is encouraging she displayed competence and gave the impression that she has the ability to lead a good investigation. We now need to be very vigilant and ensure the enquiry is on path to deliver results.

    I would be interested in looking at the response from Justice Goddard. The letter clearly highlights some very serious concerns which need to be taken very seriously.
